High Tea Of Hope
Have you ever anxiously waited for blood test results and received an answer you weren’t prepared to hear?
According to the Cancer Council of Australia, an estimated 134,000 new cases of cancer will be diagnosed in Australia this year, with that number set to rise to 150,000 by 2020. 1 in 2 Australian men and women will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85. Cancer is a leading cause of death in Australia – more than 44,000 people died from cancer in 2014.
Surviving cancer is a reason to celebrate. Fitish Woman invites you to join us for our High Tea of Hope on Sunday 30 July 2017 at Capri by Fraser, Brisbane to meet cancer survivor, Author and Blogger Marie Chronopoulos. Marie was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer (Mestatic Myxoid Liposarcoma) and has taken a holistic approach to healing herself.
‘Dare to Choose’ chronicles Marie’s story as a cancer survivor, recounting the moments following the devastating news and the incredible life transformation that she underwent to take back control of her body and her fate, turning her disease into an opportunity to become the best version of herself she could possibly be; stronger, healthier, and more open to belief and love than ever before. Dare to Choose is also the fulfilment of a personal promise. The promise to give back, reach out, and lend a hand through her words to all others who might be travelling down an unexpected fork in the road.
Marie will be sharing her story with us and providing us with inspiration of how to take control of our life and health and live with hope.
At the High Tea of Hope, you will enjoy a guilt-free, Paleo inspired High Tea menu by Chef Pete Evans, which features a decadent selection of sugar-free, gluten-free and dairy-free goodies, along with a glass of sparkly on arrival. Goody bags for everyone attending as well as a few surprises to make for a fun and entertaining afternoon.
There will be lucky door prizes and a raffle with proceeds going to Save the Box for gynaecological cancer research. One lucky person will win a night’s accommodation at the Capri by Fraser Hotel in Brisbane. Imagine coming to a High Tea and staying overnight for a city break!
“At our last Guilt Free High Tea on April 23, we raised funds to enable one woman affected by gynaecological cancer to undergo clinical trials for 6 months” said Adrianne Katmadas, CEO of Fitish Woman. “So we’re looking forward to the generous support of sponsors and guests once again at our High Tea of Hope in July.”
The Fitish Woman events are wonderful opportunities for healthy lifestyle networking, providing entertainment and inspiration. If you would like to donate prizes or goody bag gifts please contact email@example.com
